New technologies at Cambuhy

Not unlike the global trend, Cambuhy is charting the path of technological evolution in agriculture. Today, Agro 4.0 technologies are flooding the market, many of which can be easily applied to citrus and sugarcane crops, while others have the potential for application but require an adaptation period. Finally, some are still just projections that must be swiftly identified and directed to evolve towards facing an increasingly stiff market competition.
With an eye always on the future, Cambuhy has a New Technologies department responsible for researching, analyzing the feasibility of, and implementing new technologies for citrus and sugarcane crops.
Numerous technologies have been tested and implemented at Cambuhy, including fleet monitoring, precision agriculture equipment, drones for crop mapping and monitoring, low-cost weather stations, mobile phones with special clip-on lenses to capture images of pests, testing of new sprayers, and new software that helps analyze the most diverse types of data. Additionally, Cambuhy is close to being 100 percent online with an ambitious 4G network connectivity project.

• Software for fleet monitoring and operator performance analysis

• Mobile phone cameras with special clip-on lenses for detecting the citrus leprosis mite

• Use of drones/UAVs for crop mapping and monitoring

• Use of drones for spraying

Smart irrigation

• New sprayers

•Precision agriculture in orange and sugarcane farming
